Technical description
Procedure –Chemical peeling gets rid of as many skin layers as the substance alows. The deeper it goes, the greater the risks. This procedure is generally performed in the face.
Chemical substances used are:
- Trichloroacetic acid
- Salicilic acid
- Golden Peeling Plus (Jessner plus resorcine)
- Kojic acid
- Retinoic acid among others
Hospitalization – Chemical peeling is an ambulatory procedure.
Time – Time needed for the procedure will depend on the amount of skin treated and the substance used. It varies between 10 minutes and two hours.
